Our gold chains come in 14K and 18K yellow, white and rose gold, 10K gold, platinum and sterling silver. Choose classic links like cable, rolo, curb, Cuban, Figaro, rope, herringbone and paperclip, in widths from 0.7mm to 20mm and lengths from 14 to 40 inches.

For a pendant, a fine 1 to 1.5mm cable or rolo chain is the usual pick, while curb, Cuban, Figaro and rope chains of 3mm and up are worn on their own. An 18-inch chain sits at the collarbone, and 20 to 24 inches is common for men. Find something to hang on yours in our gold pendants.

Questions about Chains

What's the difference between solid and hollow gold chains?

A solid chain is gold all the way through; a hollow chain is gold around an empty center. Hollow chains are lighter and cost less but dent more easily. Semi-solid sits between the two.

What chain width is best for a pendant?

About 1 to 2mm for small pendants, 2 to 3mm for heavier pieces. Check that the pendant's bail is wider than the chain.

What length chain should I buy?

18 inches is the most popular for women and 20 to 24 inches for men. 16 inches sits close to the neck.
